Fruitful partnership leads to tree planting initiative.

AES Solar and Viridian Solar have partnered up on a tree planting initiative that will see trees planted in Scotland and the developing world.

AES Solar are the first Fusion Forest partner to collaborate with Viridian Solar. The Cambridge based company have planted a tree for every Clearline fusion solar panel bought since July 2020.

The two companies are now combining forces. As a result of every Clearline Fusion solar panel installed by AES Solar, two trees will be planted. The planting will take place by two charities that seek to restore forest ecosystems.

Trees – The Ultimate Multitaskers

Trees for Life is on a mission to rewild the Scottish Highlands. They aim to enable the restoration of the globally unique Caledonian Forest. This Forest once covered much of Scotland. As a result of this ambitious goal, they have planted nearly two million trees to date.

Eden Reforestation Projects operate in Nepal, Mozambique, Haiti, Madagascar, and Indonesia. The charity aims to reduce poverty by employing local people and moreover ensuring the newly planted trees survive to adulthood.

Trees are the ultimate multitaskers. This tree planting initiative will work towards removing carbon emissions from the atmosphere while simultaneously restoring habitats for wildlife, and preventing soil erosion.

The partnership symbolises a successful working relationship between AES Solar and Viridian Solar. Both active members of Solar Energy UK, they have collaborated on a range of projects. For example, contributing to the property that went on to win Grand Designs: House of the year 2018.

Viridian Solar specialises in the new build housing market. It manufactures high-quality roof-integrated solar PV panels and mounting systems. Technically and aesthetically pleasing, their products are the first choice for housing developers, builders and solar installers as the best roof integrated product on the market.

Located at opposite ends of the country, the two companies are prime examples of the innovative British solar industry. In addition to this impact, they have led the way in their respective fields of expertise. This pioneering spirit is evident in the take-up of this partnership.
