Balmoral Estate
The Royal Family are known for taking steps to reduce the carbon footprint across their Royal Estates! Therefore, it’s no surprise that one of the buildings on the estate has a solar thermal installation to provide the hot water requirements for the building.
Balmoral is set amongst the magnificent scenery of Royal Deeside, in the shadows of Lochnagar. AES Luminary Panels are installed on the Balmoral Castle Estates Office, also known as Baile-na-coille. Historic Scotland subsequently approved the install on the Grade B Listed building with the completion of the install taking place in 2015.

The streamline design of the AES Luminary panel was of particular importance for this sensitive location.
With 37 years of expertise in the solar thermal industry at the time, AES Solar were the first choice for the royal estate. We have since celebrated our 40th year of uninterrupted business in 2019.
