AES Solar shines brightest in Moray business awards

AES Solar has come out shining in the Moray Chamber of Commerce Annual Awards, picking up the title of Small Medium Enterprise (SME) of the Year at the event which recognises achievement and performance.

George Goudsmit, Managing Director, said: “I am delighted and humbled that AES Solar has won such a prestigious award in a highly competitive category. The staff and all of our partners play a huge part in our continued success and I am so pleased to have gathered a multi-talented, dedicated team. It’s great to see our hard work recognised locally and nationally throughout the renewable and construction sectors.”

The awards are given by the chamber of commerce during Moray Business Week and the category was sponsored by Johnston Carmichael Chartered Accountants.

“They have a clear commitment to their staff with holding the Investors in People and Investors in Young People Accolade and they proudly put Moray on the map with their technology.”

AES Solar counts some impressive clients in its portfolio. It has provided solar systems for the Scottish Parliament building at Holyrood, Balmoral Estate on Royal Deeside and it has recently completed the two largest solar installations in Forres at Benromach Distillery and Christie-Elite Nurseries.

We are also waiting to hear if it has won an accolade in the Green Energy Awards. AES Solar is shortlisted as a finalist in the Sustainable Scotland category for its installation at Craigdon Mountain Sports at the Pentland Outdoor Centre in Edinburgh.
